BST Inspection Services Terms of Service Effective Date: 29 March 2026
Welcome to BST Inspection Services! We’re a veteran-owned and family-owned business dedicated to helping you make confident decisions about vehicles through honest, thorough inspections. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using our website (BSTInspections.com), booking inspections, and receiving our services.
By visiting our site, requesting an inspection, or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services. We may update these Terms occasionally—we’ll post the new version on our website with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updates.
Our Services
We provide mobile and on-site vehicle inspections, including:
Mechanical Breakdown Inspections
Pre-Purchase Inspections
Arbitration Inspections
And other related services (virtual or in-person)
Our goal is to give you clear, helpful information about a vehicle’s visible condition at the time of inspection. We use experienced inspectors and tools like Autoflow for scheduling and reporting.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
How to Book and What to Expect
When you request an inspection (online, by phone, or email), you’ll provide contact details, vehicle information (VIN, year/make/model, symptoms, etc.), and payment. We’ll work with you and the seller/repair facility to schedule a convenient time.
For the most accurate results, the vehicle should be clean, dry, and well-lit. Our inspections are visual and non-invasive—we don’t disassemble the vehicle, put it on a lift, or perform invasive diagnostics. We may use basic tools, such as multimeters, tread depth gauges and perhaps even a straight edge to check deck surfaces, but our inspectors DO NOT perform any tear down themselves. Our inspectors serve as a kind of integrity check to the repair facility and the technicians working on your vehicle. We may request the repair facility to perform a test drive if necessary to confirm faults, such as problematic transmissions, but our inspectors DO NOT drive your vehicle, we only ride as a passenger so that we may record with the camera the symptoms presented by your vehicle.
We’ll prepare a PDF report with our observations, notes, and photos, and send it to you by email or text.
Payment and Cancellation
We require payment when you place your order (pre-pay service). Payment is processed securely through our provider.
Cancellations and Refunds: Because we begin processing your order right away (including scheduling), all sales are final once the order is placed. If the vehicle is unavailable when our inspector arrives and we haven’t yet dispatched, we can often hold your payment as a credit toward a future inspection on a different vehicle. Please contact us promptly in these situations.
It is imperative that your vehicle be available for our inspectors, virtual or physical depending on your order type, so that we can perform the necessary inspection. In the event that you have ordered an inspection and then taken possession of your vehicle from the repair facility prior to our inspector arriving but fail to inform us in a timely manner, then we will not be issuing a refund. In the case of physical inspections, our inspectors have taken time out of their day and prepared to perform a job, and if they are unable to perform said job in the event of the vehicle being unavailable because of your possession, then the liability falls on you.
If you take your vehicle to a shop, and then order an inspection from us, then LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT THE SHOP. We know this is inconvenient, but we cannot help you if the vehicle is anywhere else but the shop that diagnosed it.
In the event that a repair facility is uncooperative with us or our inspectors, this will not constitute a refund. Our service serves as an integrity check so that you can trust that you are getting an honest and accurate diagnosis and repair. Trust is built through consistency and transparency. If a shop fails to be transparent with us, then that implies that they are not worthy of your trust and the inspection has served its purpose.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule if the location isn’t safe or accessible, or for other reasonable reasons.
Important Limitations of Our Inspections
Our inspections are designed to help you understand the vehicle’s condition at the time we look at it. Here’s what you should know:
Inspections are observational and based on what is visible and accessible. Some issues may not be apparent without disassembly, specialized diagnostic equipment, or future failures.
We provide our professional opinion, but different inspectors might notice or interpret things slightly differently.
The inspection is not a warranty, guarantee, or insurance policy. It does not guarantee the vehicle is free of defects, safe, roadworthy, or worth any specific value.
Vehicles can develop new issues after the inspection. You are fully responsible for any repairs, maintenance, or decisions after purchase.
We do not verify title history, odometer accuracy, hidden flood damage, or compliance with emissions/safety standards unless specifically noted.
Test drives (when performed) are limited and depend on the repair facility’s ability to facilitate. Not every situation calls for a test drive, many do not, and many shops, especially small ones, do not have extra people to perform test drives when necessary. WE will do OUR best to facilitate your inspection.
In short: Our report is a helpful tool, but the final decision on your repair is yours.
Our Limited Responsibility
We strive to provide high-quality service, but like any inspection, ours has natural limits. To the fullest extent allowed by law:
We do not guarantee any specific outcome or that the inspection will catch every possible issue.
We are not responsible for the repair facility’s actions, the vehicle’s actual condition, or what happens after we inspect it.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific inspection.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages (such as lost profits or vehicle repair costs). We didn’t buy the vehicle, we didn’t break the vehicle, we just hope to help you navigate the vehicle repaired.
Indemnification
You agree to protect us from any claims, losses, or expenses that arise from your use of our services, your purchase decisions, or violations of these Terms.
Changes and Termination
We may change or improve our services at any time. We can also refuse service or cancel an inspection for any reason (for example, safety concerns).
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any disputes will first try to be resolved informally. If needed, disputes will be handled via arbitration and then in the courts located in Missouri.
